The DIVERGENT casting question… who do YOU think would be the best Four?

About a year and a half ago, I wrote up a post about some pretty hot actors who could potentially be acceptable choices for the lead role of Four in the movie adaptation of Veronica Roth’s Divergent (“Casting Divergent, Take Two: Casting Four (aka: a Lineup of Hotties)“).

And all you awesome readers out there had a lot to say! You agreed, disagreed, and argued about who YOUR top picks would be. My picks included Aaron Johnson, Henry Cavill, and Steven R. McQueen. Some of your suggestions (from the comments of that post) included Max Irons, Alexander Ludwig, Landon Liboiron, Keegan Allen, Zane Holtz, Logan Lerman, Matt Lanter, James Gaiford, and Adam Gregory. A lineup of hotties indeed!

Quite obviously, we’re not the only ones wondering who will play the role. Check out this article at, where they give their top 5 choices for who would make the perfect Four. Click the link, stop by and vote for your favorite!

Personally, of the five listed in the poll on Young Adult Magazine, my vote goes to Colton Haynes. The picture shown of him is EXACTLY how I imagined Four when I read Divergent (and the fact that he’s roughed up in that picture just like any self-respecting member of the Dauntless faction would be really helps sell it).

Colton Haynes

As a 40somethingish YA addict, I have no idea who these boys are. However, I know Four and he’s either Henry Cavill or, as Ms. Katie suggested, the roughed-up Colton Haynes. But who would be his Tris?

I’m a little ashamed to admit that I don’t know most of them either. A handful I’m familiar with and have seen in other movies or series, but the bulk of them I had never heard of until commenters started sounding off! I read somewhere that Shailene Woodley will be playing Tris, and that Alex Pettyfer was rumored to play Four (which has since been denied).
