BEAUTIFUL CREATURES movie trailer!

I read Beautiful Creatures last spring when the release date for the movie was announced. Any of you who follow AtLP know that I’m not into paranormal romance (that’s more Ashley’s department), but I liked it and that’s saying something. It’s not going on my “OMG FAVORITE BOOKS OF ALL TIME” list or anything, but it was a very enjoyable read and I’d happily read the other two (soon to be three) books in the series.

Once I read it, I was curious to see how it would translate to film. The southern setting would make for some beautiful scenery to put on the big screen, and casting can make or break a movie. And we know how upset I get when I feel book-to-movie adaptation is ruined by poor casting decisions. Well, we will wonder no longer because THERE’S AN OFFICIAL TRAILER!!

Head to the Beautiful Creatures IMDB page to watch the trailer or just scope it out below…

Beautiful Creatures will be in theaters on February 13, 2013!

I’m thinking I need to read this book before I can say if this looks any good. Right now it just looks a little weird, but I’m definitely intrigued to read the book!

Honestly, I had my reservations when I read BC, too. I don’t normally get into this genre, but I got curious with all the hype over the movie. Surprisingly, I liked it! And I have to say, the trailer looks a lot like what I envisioned when I read the book.

I really need to read this book also before the release of the movie. The trailer was quite fantastic and grim at the same time I’m deciding to add the authors, Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, to my regular reading list.

In your opinion though, do you like the two main cast for the movie? I somehow like Emmy Rossum in this one, she’s hauntingly beautiful and seems to play the role very well.
